    Getting better!

Chris had another follow up appointment today.  After 3 miserable days not being able to eat or talk, we removed the rubber bands on Thursday.  I've never seen someone so satisfied by a baked potato and soup (Jason's Deli and McAlister's are our new favorite eating places--almost every meal).  Back to the appointment.  The doctor said that he was doing "FANTASTIC!"  He continues to be shocked by how quickly he is healing and how well he is doing.  So, he doesn't have to be rubber banded shut, except at night.  Now he is trying to gain back the weight that he lost during the last 3 days.  Be sure to check out his photo album for more current after shots.

On the family subject, I added a new photo album with Halloween pictures of the girls.  Katie was torn between being a cowgirl or cheerleader.  She got a cheerleading uniform for her birthday, but wanted to be the cowgirl... until Halloween morning when she saw Allie--then she wanted to be Raggedy Ann.  Oh well, can't always make them happy.  They both enjoyed trick or treating, but really enjoyed handing out the candy to other children the best.  Allie got really good at throwing the candy in their bags.  Chris and I dressed up as Hippies, hoping that no one would recognize him as we walked around (since he couldn't talk).  I think we succeeded, as people only recognized us by our children.

Katie turned 6 on Oct 26th, so there are a few pics from her party.  She had a great time with her friends at a place called Party Central.  She is so grown up!  I still can't get over that she is so BIG!

In case you haven't heard yet, we found out last week that we will be moving to Leavenworth, KS in June 2007.  Chris was selected to attend CGSC (which is an in-residence school).  It is actually the Army's version of this schooling, which is similar to a Master's program.  We are really excited.  This is a great move, and we will be so close to family!!!

Talk about a crazy couple of weeks...
